Katie Hay – Counselling and Psychotherapy

Katie is a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. She has also been awarded the National Centre for Eating Disorder Diploma in Practitioner Skills and when not working at the Natural Therapy Centre she works at an inpatient mental health unit.

Katie trained as an integrative counselor/psychotherapist and draws on a number of different ways of working which she tailors to her client, including mindfulness, bodywork and creative methods.  She finds that people often seek therapy with a number of inter-related issues or with a feeling of ‘stuckness’ or things not being right. The types of issues she deals with include eating disorders, feeling depressed and unhappy, anxiety and problems in relationships.

Katie is committed to helping young people and adults make positive changes. In order to do this, she believes in providing a secure and healing base from which you can explore troubles and difficulties and live a more fulfilled and comfortable life.

Her work is rooted in attachment and relational theories.

Because she believes that a feeling of safety and trust underpins the counseling relationship Katie is happy to discuss your needs on an entirely confidential basis and if she is not the right person for you, put you in touch with someone else.
